Support for Ruth to get her shower fixed
Donation protected

Hi, We're raising money to help our friend Ruth get her shower fixed.
Ruth is a friend of ours– and someone we love dearly for her compassion, her friendship, her sense of humour, her crazy jokes and birthday messages and her many talents and gift.
Ruth hasn't been having an easy time lately. She has been dealing with a number of health challenges and it is taking her a long time to settle into the little house she just about managed to afford after the deaths of her mum and brother. There are issues with her shower, which has been leaking despite several people's attempts to recaulk it. It remains a problem – so much so – that Ruth has recently been going to other peoples’ houses to use their showers to prevent further damage.
As a group of women, we have been thinking about what we can do to support Ruth. We have been asking her for a while what she would like for her 60th birthday – and it hasn’t been easy for her to think of anything. What we know she really wants is a shower renovation – (quite a basic thing really) – and not to have the worry about the damage which is being done to the timbers and ceiling below, with the shower continually leaking.
So, we’ve decided to set up a crowdfunding appeal to see if we can raise enough money for Ruth to pay for her shower to be renovated and we've clubbed together to make the first donation. It would make such a difference to Ruth's life – not only to have a working shower – but to feel the love and support for her which is out there. Please do give anything you can to help us do this. Thank you.
Lucie, Rachael, Kirsty, Lou, Heather and Jo
PS Ruth knows that this crowd funder is happening and would like you to know that she is very grateful for your love and generosity. She also says that she is saving up to get the shower fixed and will be able to get it done in time, so please don't feel pressured to give if you are not moved to.
