My dad, Rodolfo Jose Lopez—known to many as Joe or Raider Joe—was just 50 years old. He was married to my mom, Tara Lopez, for 32 years, and together they raised three children: my brother Isaiah (28), myself Destiny (26), and my brother Israel (21). He was a devoted grandfather to Josiah Lopez, with a granddaughter on the way. My dad loved the water, BBQs, fishing, funk, oldies, & rap, the Central Coast, and most of all, his family. He was a die hard Raider’s fan. He was a loyal husband, father, son, friend, and a cherished member of a large extended family, maintaining close relationships with many cousins.
His passing was sudden and unexpected. Our family was focused on welcoming his granddaughter, not preparing for the end of his life. When he was in the ICU, we hoped for recovery, and we were unprepared for the heartbreak and the expenses that followed. Losing him has left a void in our lives, and we are now facing the challenge of covering funeral costs and honoring his memory.
Any help is never too small as we navigate this long journey of life without my father. Your support will ease the financial burden and allow us to celebrate his life in the way he deserves. Thank you for considering a donation or sharing our story.
