I’m so sorry to have to share that I’m making the difficult decision to put my 14-year-old chihuahua, Ruby, down. She’s been with me since she was just 2 months old—from the moment I saw her, she stole my heart, and she’s been a constant part of my life, becoming another cherished member of my family. Balancing her health and weight has been a challenge, especially as she’s aged and lost all her teeth. I’ve been visiting the vet frequently, trying to find a solution to her health issues. Over the past six months, she’s been declining, and she’s not eating or drinking water, which breaks my heart to see her so thin and frail. She’s also been peeing blood and sometimes won’t even get up. I’ve explored other treatments, but the outlook isn’t great. Sadly, I have to put her down, which will cost $900, so I can get her remains and a paw print. I would be incredibly grateful for any help or donations you could offer.
