For those who know Justin and Kelly, you know Roxxie. And if you know Roxxie, you know just how special she is. Everyone who meets her falls in love with her sweet, gentle personality.

Recently, Roxxie underwent TPLO surgery after injuring her leg and tearing her CCL. While the procedure is common for dogs with this injury, she unfortunately developed severe aspiration pneumonia afterward and has been hospitalized for the past 2½ weeks. Her veterinary team shared that her lungs are extremely inflamed, making this a rare and challenging case, and she will need time to heal. At this point, they aren’t sure how long her recovery will take.

Kelly and Justin have been by her side every day, taking time off work to support and comfort her. On top of the emotional strain, they are facing significant medical expenses and rapidly using up their sick and vacation time. Roxxie is so much more than a pet to them—she is their family, their companion, and their best friend.

We are fundraising to help them manage the rapidly increasing medical bills they are facing during Roxxie’s ongoing care, as well as to support them while they are unable to work and remain by her side. Any amount of support means the world and is deeply appreciated.
