My life changed quickly when I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma, just after losing my job. The timing has made things especially difficult, as I am now facing cancer treatment while also trying to manage my living expenses on unemployment. Each day brings new challenges, from the physical effects of treatment to the stress of keeping up with life’s expenses. I am doing my best to stay positive and focus on healing, but the financial strain is overwhelming at times.

The support I receive will go directly toward essentials like housing costs, utilities, groceries, and gas. These are the things that allow me to keep a roof over my head and take care of myself while I go through treatment. Knowing that I have help with these basics means I can put more energy into getting better and less into worrying about how to make ends meet.

It would mean the world to me to feel supported by friends, family, and anyone who is moved by my story—even if it's just a kind word. I also want to share that Hodgkin lymphoma is very treatable, and I am hopeful about my recovery. Not everyone who sees this may know about my diagnosis, but any support, big or small, will make a real difference as I work toward healing and getting back on my feet.
