I would like to tell you a little bit about Roxanne. At the young age of 37, she has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. Her treatment will last for months between chemotherapy, radiation, and surgery.

She is always the first to offer a hand to anyone who needs it. She has dedicated much of her time to helping others, such as spending months as a volunteer with MDS (Mennonite disaster Service) to rebuild homes damaged from natural disasters.  As a follower of Jesus Christ, she chooses to serve others out of joy because it is who she is called to be.

She is currently on a leave of absence from her job at Tokay High School where she works as a resource para-educator for kids with special needs, a job she loves because it is helping others reach their potential. She loves volleyball and in her spare time has been helping with a girls’ travel team. It is not a job to her, but yet another chance to give of herself and show others the love of God. Even knowing she had cancer, she put her pain aside and helped take care of her grandpa while he was undergoing hospice over the last couple of weeks of his life.

There are so many things she does unselfishly, always putting others first. Now is the time we put her first and help her fight this battle!!!!! She will need everyone’s prayers over the next several months. At this point we do not know what the final costs of her treatment will be, but she will need help covering normal living expenses as she is out on leave from work. We are setting up a Go Fund Me account so she does not have to worry about her medical costs and living expenses as she goes through her treatments. If you are able to give, any amount will help and I know she will be grateful for the support! I know not only does her family need her, but so do many others. She is a bright star for so many people and loved by many, I know God has a much bigger plan for her!
