Rosemarie has always been the heart of our family and a friend to so many. About a year and a half ago, she faced the unimaginable loss of her son to an undiagnosed brain aneurysm. Since then, she has continued to give her love and support to everyone around her, even as she quietly struggled with her own health. Over the past three months, Rosemarie has been very sick, and now she finds herself in the hospital with an aneurysm above her heart valve. Specialists have been called in from California to help make the best decisions for her care, and we are hopeful for her recovery.

While she fights for her health, the bills and insurance costs have not stopped. Rosemarie relies on a small social security income, which makes it difficult to keep up with medical bills, travel for specialists, medications, and everyday living expenses. On top of everything, she recently had a tire blow out while at the hospital, adding car repairs to her list of worries. As an immigrant from Germany who has spent over 30 years building a life and community here, Rosemarie has always been the first to help others—family, friends, and even strangers.

I know that times are tough for everyone, but if you know my mom Rosemarie, she has touched your heart in more than one way. I’ve always wanted to give back to her, and with the help of friends, family, neighbors, and even those who haven’t met her yet, I know we can do something meaningful.
