Hi, I'm Kathy-Brie and I’m reaching out during one of the most overwhelming times our family has faced. As a single mom to 3 amazing kids and the full-time guardian of my brother Rory, who has special needs, I do everything I can to keep our lives stable and full of love. Right now, Rory is in the hospital recovering from a broken leg that he got when he slipped while walking to work, and the added medical demands have stretched me beyond what I can manage alone. I’ve already used up most of my available medical time at work keeping up with my kids’ and Rory’s regular ongoing appointments (plus some sick appointments for the kids thanks to a particularly volatile cold and flu season), and I’m now facing lost income while trying to be there for Rory during his long road to recovery.
