Ron Woodside is a devoted father, grandfather, and small business owner who has spent the past 30 years running his own remodeling company.
He is a Veteran after serving in the Army as a highly trained specialized Aviator on a light attack “little Bird” helicopter company of the 160th Night Stalkers. First special operator command providing multiple weapons system platforms to protect and save lives of Special Operations of Delta Force Navy Seals, Army Rangers and other high value persons. This group was depicted in the motion picture Black Hawk Down.
At 64, Ron has always been self-sufficient, working hard to provide for his family. Twelve weeks ago, Ron received a life-changing diagnosis: stage 4 renal cell carcinoma that has spread to his lungs. He is now undergoing immunotherapy every three weeks at Vanderbilt University Hospital, a 45-minute drive from home. In addition, Ron will need the kidney removed which will entail a long recovery. The side effects and extreme fatigue from treatment have made it impossible for Ron to work, and his savings are nearly gone.

Ron’s daily life has changed dramatically. He struggles with pain and fatigue and is unable to shop for or prepare healthy meals due to his compromised immune system. The financial strain is growing as he faces mounting medical bills, household expenses, mortgage payments, utilities, food costs, and travel expenses for treatment. Even basic needs like yard maintenance have become difficult to manage. Despite these challenges, Ron continues to face each day with remarkable strength, resilience, and faith. He has placed his trust in God and the dedicated medical teams at Vanderbilt and the VA hospitals.

Your support for Ron and his family is humbly appreciated. Any contribution will help ease the burden of his expenses and bring much-needed relief during this uncertain time. Together, we can make a meaningful difference for Ron as he focuses on his health and caring for his loved ones.
