Ron Williams was more than a friend—he was a teacher, a musician, a husband, and a father. I first met Ron at Steve Daughtery’s Red Bank Music Shop in 2018. From the very beginning, Ron’s generosity and warmth stood out. After our first meeting, he invited me to his home, gave me a banjo lesson, and shared some of his favorite CDs. That day marked the start of a deep friendship, and I quickly learned how much Ron meant to so many people in the Tennessee music community.


Ron’s sudden passing has left his family—his wife Sandra, and their children Jesse, Josh, and Jake—facing not only heartbreak but also the many expenses that come with saying goodbye. The funds raised here will go directly to Sandra to help cover funeral service costs, travel expenses, medical bills, and everything else involved in this difficult process. Supporting this fundraiser is a way to honor Ron’s legacy and help his family through an incredibly challenging time.
