Hello, my name is Ron and we live in Florida. It's very expensive to live here, and our only income is from Social Security.

My wife has been diagnosed with dementia and I am unable to care for her anymore. We can't afford a nursing home or assisted living. I had to quit work to try and be her caregiver, so money is very tight and we can't afford to hire help.

I've tried to get financial assistance from state and local governments, but they keep refusing because they say we make too much money.
