Rolydee has always been more than just my cousin—she’s my childhood best friend, and someone I’ve always looked up to for her kindness and strength. This past December was especially hard for her. On her birthday, she lost her husband, Simon, very suddenly. It’s been a lot for her and her family to process, but they’re doing their best to take things one day at a time.

Not long after, their youngest son, Ico, who is just five and non-verbal, was admitted to the ICU with pneumonia. It’s been tough for Rolydee to see her little boy in the hospital, especially while still grieving Simon. The family is facing a lot of unexpected expenses, from funeral costs to hospital bills, and it’s been a challenge to keep up with everything.
