Hi, my name is Roger. For twenty years, I worked as a truck driver, providing for myself and my family. My life changed dramatically after I suffered a severe sciatic nerve attack that left me unable to work for almost three months. While I was recovering, I also became the primary caregiver for my 90-year-old father during the COVID pandemic. Caring for him was a privilege, but it was also a challenging time for both of us.
Since then, my health has declined. I now live with neuropathy, COPD, nerve problems in both legs, and frequent anxiety attacks that sometimes make it impossible for me to leave the house. There are other health issues as well, and each day can be a struggle. After my father passed away, I started the process of applying for Social Security disability. Unfortunately, the process has taken much longer than I hoped, and I have exhausted all my savings and resources while waiting for approval. I have no family near me or that can help me any more than they have.
I am reaching out for help to cover my rent, utilities, transportation costs, and personal care items. Your support will help me avoid homelessness and maintain some stability until my Social Security comes through. If you are unable to donate, please consider sharing my page with others. Your kindness and support mean the world to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there during this difficult time. God bless.
