Support for Rodney Williamson 's medical expenses

My brother Rodney Williamson had a massive stroke on Friday, May 2, 2025. He was transported to Mobile Infirmary and they confirmed he had a brain bleed caused by high blood pressure plus paralysis on his whole left side. He was awake and conscious until Sunday, yet confused and disoriented. He went to sleep on Sunday night and has not woken up since then. The doctors had to insert a feeding tube and put him on a ventilator on Tuesday, May 6th because he had lost the ability to swallow and his throat was swelling up making it hard for him to breathe. They are also giving him meds to stabilize his blood pressure, make his heart beat stronger and try to wake him up. On Saturday, May 10, the neurologist let us know the brain bleed had not gotten bigger but had not resolved and it was sitting on the area of the brain that controls waking and sleeping, which is why he is not waking up. That part of the brain is no longer functioning and the doctor couldn't tell us if or when he would wake up and what damage had been done if he does wake up. Since he is not waking up, his chance of regaining function and the ability to rehabilitate is very slim.

If he did wake up, he would have to have a trach and a permanent feeding tube and would have to be transferred to a long term care facility out of state. He would have to be cared for 24/7 possibly for the rest of his life. As of today, May 13, he is still asleep and all of the meds they have given him to try to wake him up have not worked. And now we are now faced with the probability of having to place him on hospice care. He has insurance but we know there will be a large amount of medical bills to be paid plus debts he already had, as well as funeral expenses. This is not the road we wanted to travel but it seems as though this is where we are heading. If you feel so inclined to help out with any of his expenses, we would be very appreciative. He has been such a supportive, loving brother to me and a good friend to so many. He has a heart of gold and would do anything he could to help anyone in need. Now it's my turn to help him in his time of need.❤️
