My father, Rodney Freeman, was diagnosed with colon cancer in May of 2025. After surgery to remove the tumor, we learned that the cancer had spread to his pelvis. Since then, Rodney has bravely undergone multiple chemotherapy and immunotherapy sessions, but unfortunately, these treatments have not been successful. He is now starting a new antibody therapy in hopes of finding a path to recovery.

Rodney is almost fully bedridden, and my mother, Peggy, has become his primary caretaker. Despite her own challenges, Peggy continues to work to support their household and pay for mounting medical bills. She spends hours taking Rodney to his treatments, which are long and exhausting, and then returns to work to keep their lives afloat.

I am setting up this fundraiser to support both of my parents during this incredibly difficult time. The money raised will help my mother spend more time with my father, cover daily living expenses, and pay for medications that insurance does not cover. Most importantly, it would give my mother the chance to focus on caring for Rodney without the constant worry of financial strain. We are asking for prayers and donations to support my father as he battles cancer. Rodney is the best man I’ve ever met, and he truly deserves all the help and kindness we can offer.
