Relief for Rodney!

My name is Deb O'Neil and I am implementing this fundraiser for my son-in-law Rodney, my daughter, and 2 granddaughters. Rodney and Bridget met when they were 18 and never looked back. They have been together for 18 years, have 2 beautiful daughters (15 and 9) who they adore, and their 2 English Mastiffs to complete their family. In May of this year, completely unexpected, Rodney had emergency surgery and was shockingly diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer, metastatic to his lungs and liver. This was a shock to he and his family, and they have a deep sadness about his prognosis and the loss of future quality time with his life partner and daughters. He has been a champ and has endured 2 different kinds of chemo, but much to our dismay, the tumors continue to grow in his colon, lungs, and liver. He does not complain; we are thankful he has little pain, but we are hopeful to enjoy quality time with Rodney for whatever time we are blessed with. We would like to see that, as a family, they have as many special moments and experiences as time allows, in the upcoming few months and that they don’t have financial woes to add to their worry and stress . Rodney has no life insurance, and this is of major concern as well.

We are so thankful for all the prayers that have come our way and for the outstanding care at Brigham and Women and Dana Farber.
