My name is Rod, and I am a Navy submarine service veteran who has always taken pride in serving my country and supporting my community. For the past ten years, I worked with the Department of Veterans Affairs, dedicating myself to helping fellow veterans. Unfortunately, I recently lost my employment with the VA, which has been a significant blow both financially and emotionally.

On top of this, I have been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and am currently undergoing treatment through the VA. The combination of losing my job and facing a serious health challenge has made it incredibly difficult to keep up with medical expenses, as well as the costs of maintaining my automobile and housing.
