Robyn Simmans, my sister, was recently diagnosed with grade 3 squamous cell cancer. This news has been incredibly difficult for our family, and Robyn is now waiting for scan results to find out if the cancer is in one location or has spread. She will soon begin chemo and radiation, and we are all hoping for the best possible outcome.

Robyn is a self-employed small business owner, which means that while she does have insurance, her copays and the loss of income during her treatment will be a significant challenge. The financial strain of medical bills, daily living expenses, and the travel required for her treatment is overwhelming, and it’s something no one should have to face alone.
