On Saturday, March 14, 2026, Robert’s life changed in an instant.
While Robert was out on a leisurely motorcycle ride with three close friends, a 21-year-old motorcyclist traveling at an extremely high speed crossed into Robert’s lane and struck him head-on at nearly 95 MPH. The impact was catastrophic.
Unfortunately, the young motorcyclist tragically lost his life at the scene.
Robert survived—but with devastating, life-threatening injuries. He was airlifted to a trauma center in Arizona, where he remains in critical condition and has already undergone multiple surgeries to repair the extensive damage to his body. His road to recovery will be long, painful and uncertain.
Robert’s injuries include:
- Broken nose
- Fractured jaw
- Fractured left scapula
- Broken back at T7/T7 transverse process
- Fractured left ribs 1-9 with flail segment
- Fractured right ribs 2-5 and 7-8 (68 rib fractures in total)
- Bruised left lung
- Small lacerated spleen
- Bilateral sacral fractures
- Right pubic ramus fracture
- Fractured left hip
- Fractured left patella
- Large lacerated left leg near the knee
- Fractured left ankle
- Multiple fractures in the left metatarsals
- Left toe tuft fracture
