Support for Robert (Bob) Geiger Family Expenses

Bob Geiger was admitted to the hospital on October 15, 2020 with double viral and bacterial pneumonia that resulted from COVID-19. He started out on Hi-flow oxygen for the first few days while starting treatments of antibiotics, steroids and antivirals. He was soon switched to Bi-Pap where he eventually maxed out the settings due to the increased assistance needed to breathe. On Wednesday, October 28, 2020, doctors found a hole in Bob’s lung. Furthermore, chest x-rays and blood work never showed consistent overall improvement even with plasma treatments. On Thursday morning, October 29, 2020, Bob was put on a ventilator to assist him with breathing, but his oxygen levels eventually couldn’t make it above the high 70s. Ideally your oxygen levels should be between 90 and 100. On October 31, 2020, it was learned that Bob’s other organs were now struggling, and his heart had become very stressed. Despite Bob’s hard-fought battle, COVID had caused too much damage to his lungs and it eventually took a toll on his entire body.

Bob passed peacefully with Jerrilyn by his side later that Saturday morning. He can now breathe easy in God’s arms.

 Bob was a devoted husband, father, family member, Grandpa, and friend to many. Anyone who knew Bob knew that he was always around to help anyone and always had a smile on his face. Many have asked how they can help Bob’s family, so this GoFundMe page has been set up to do just that. Bob’s hospital stays and funeral expenses will undoubtedly be significant as billing will finalize and will soon be due for the Geiger family. Jerrilyn and the rest of Bob’s family would like to thank everyone who has any ability to help them financially and also would like to show appreciation to all the prayers, thoughts, well wishes, and food donations so far.
