On June 1st, while biking over the marine parkway bridge, a kite became tangled between the traffic lane and the bike lane. Unfortunately, two people in our group became ensnared in it.

While the first person was struck noncritically and able to be discharged later that evening, Robby was struck and the line slit his throat. He suffered profound blood loss and damage to his windpipe, and has a very long road ahead of him in terms of recovery. He will be in the ICU for an unknown amount of time at this point, though is stable and getting better by the day.

We’re hoping to raise funds to help support the daily costs of life, keeping his business afloat, and providing whatever is needed next for his healing.
