Robbie tested positive for COVID around the first week of August. On August 6th, she was having trouble breathing and ended up going to the ER, later that night she called and said that she had pneumonia as well. Monday afternoon, Jonathan went to check on Robbie because she said her breathing was not getting any better. He checked her O2 levels and it was in the 80s. She was admitted on August 9th. August 10th the hospital called and told her family she was going to have to be on a ventilator.
As of today, she’s had many ups and downs. Last Wednesday, they almost lost her. Everyone who knows Robbie, knows she’s a fighter and knows she loves her family, especially her only daughter, Hayden. She pulled through Wednesday and is now slowly finding small victories along the way. But she still has such a long ways to go.
Hayden and my daughter, Gracie, have been best friends since Kindergarten. They are now starting 7th grade. So I’ve been able to get to know Robbie as our daughters grew up together. Robbie is Hayden’s biggest cheerleader and such an amazing mom to Hayden and a back up mom for Gracie when I couldn’t make an event. Robbie is a wonderful person and I know this is so hard on her entire family and friends. She is loved by so many.
When our loved ones are sick and in the hospital, it’s so hard to focus on finances as your loved one is fighting to stay alive. This is why I wanted to start a go fund me page in order to take the stress off of Robbie’s family. Anything will help. They are such an incredible family.
I will try and provide updates as her fight continues. Pleasekeep Robbie and Hayden, along with their family, in your thoughts and prayers. Hold your loved ones close and please stay safe. ❤️
Update provided by her sister on August 20, 2021:
She’s holding her own today. When I say that I mean her ventilator settings are about the same, her intake and output are about the same, etc. We celebrate little victories such as a slight decrease on the PEEP settings, tolerating being on her back and sides, and urine production. She will most likely be on the ventilator for another 2-3 weeks with a lengthy recovery ahead. This is a marathon she’s running, not a sprint.

Prayer works and God is good.
Update from August 27, 2021:
Today, a Tracheostomy was completed and a PEG feeding tube was placed in order to decrease the paralyzing drugs they had to give her. She’s still in a long hard fight. Please please share and help this sweet family. They mean so much to me and I want nothing more than to make this better. Since we can’t physically be there with Covid not allowing visitors…we can help support the family by limiting the stress of financial burdens they work on Robbie’s recovery.
Update from August 29, 2021:
Update on Robbie provided by Jonathan... she's is doing great today they have been able to lower her vent settings a bit so far PEEP is set at a 10 and FiO2 60%... this is a huge improvement from last weekend. She is handling the trach and peeg tube very well and is looking so much better everyday. They are supposed to let us know when we will be able to go and see her since she is past way past her 20 days after first positive. I want to thank everyone that has been so supportive the past couple of weeks I truly am grateful.
Update on Robbie provided by her family:
Both chest tubes are out and she is doing great so far. No fever today, tube feedings have been a lot better and they have been able to resume them at 30ml per hour. Blood pressure is looking good at 124/74. The best news of all is she will be moving to a LTAC facility today for continued recovery. And she keeps looking better and better everyday.
