Support for Rob & his family

Hello, my name is Alecia. I am helping to assist in raising funds for a dear friend, Rob Erickson by request of his family.

Rob is a United States Air Force veteran who served from 1989-1994 with 2 deployments overseas. He's been married to his wife, Mary since 2005.

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Rob suffered a massive heart attack while at his home. Rob was then rushed by ambulance to North Memorial Hospital where he went into cardiac arrest while going to the cath lab. Had Rob not been in the hands of medical professionals, he would not be with us. He was in a coma and on a ventilator until the morning of Tuesday the 14th. Rob woke up so the doctors took out the ventilator tube. He became extremely agitated after finding out what was going on and his blood pressure skyrocketed. Because he was fighting so much the doctors decided to put him back on the ventilator and said they would try again on Wednesday.

I met Rob through Hometown Hero Outdoors (HHO) which is a nonprofit organization for past and present military personnel and first responders. They get like-minded individuals into the outdoors to assist in functioning and healing along with building healthy relationships within their communities. Rob is part of the HHO family and we want to help in any way possible. He means so much to our HHO family and has been a huge supporter of our mission and ensuring that there is never a dull moment when he is around.

Rob is going to have a long road to recovery. His family has been at the hospital day in and day out with his brother traveling back and forth to the Minnesota/Iowa border each day. The funds will be used to assist the family in ways they feel necessary. Anything helps but if you are unable to donate please keep him in your prayers.

Thank you for reading and considering.

**UPDATE** Thursday the 16th-
There has been no change. Rob is still in the ICU on a ventilator. They are hopeful to try again tomorrow.

**UPDATE**  Friday the 17th-
The doctor came in the afternoon, Rob’s CT scan came back. Rob now has pneumonia and is being treated for that. He also he has emphysema. His road to recovery just got longer. The doctors say he'll be on the vent for 2 to 4 more days until they can get the infection controlled.

**UPDATE** Sunday the 19th-
No change. Rob is still on the ventilator. Hopeful to start weaning him off soon but all we can do is be hopeful and cross our fingers. One day at a time!!
