Hello, my name is Lucas and we are the Rivera Family. I’m a devoted single father of two beautiful children who mean the world to me. We came from the valley but been living off Ocampo st for sometime. Our lives were turned upside down by the devastating Palisades fire, which left us displaced, struggling, and holding on to nothing but each other.

The loss wasn’t just material; it was our foundation that was hard to build In an instant, our home, our belongings, and our sense of security were gone. As a father, nothing is more painful than seeing your children go without, and as a man, having to ask for help when you’ve spent every waking moment trying to protect and provide for them. Trying to prepare.

Since the fire, I've been scrambling to rebuild, working odd jobs, applying for assistance, and seeking stability... but it’s not enough. Rent, food, clothing, school supplies… the list grows faster than I can keep up. Forced to stay in the red cross shelter while still trynna work and go to college all while raising 2 under 2. I’ve reached a point where I have to ask for help, which seems physically painful at times, but it’s not just for me, but for the two little hearts that count on me every day.

This GoFundMe is about more than recovery. It’s about rebuilding a safe, stable, and loving life for my children.
