Support for Rita Peet

Hi everyone. Rita was in a tragic accident the evening of August 10, 2021 and is currently recovering in ICU at Sanford Hospital in Bismarck. The Sanford Emergency Department Staff has decided to set up this GoFundMe page to help relieve medical expenses due to Rita being unable to work and to show our support for her and Roger. They could use our prayers for healing and comfort during this time. Updates will be posted here as well. 

“ Rita was involved in a freak accident late on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 10th. The fire department and rescue squad were called. She got pinned between the car door and seat. It looks like she was driving the vehicle into the garage after putting in the floor mats and realized the mat was on top of the accelerator. She must have opened the door and bent down to fix it. She didn't have it in park and the vehicle moved forward in the garage and the open door hit the pickup parked next to it pinning Rita between the door and seat. Neighbors outside heard this and called 911. Fire and rescue came quickly. They had to perform CPR. She is currently in Sanford ICU. She's been sedated and intubated since Tuesday. This morning they turned off the sedation and are beginning the process of rewarming her. Now it is a matter of time to see how much if any functionality has been lost.
