Rita Layman, my first cousin and the beloved wife of Derron Layman, was enjoying a vacation in St. Augustine, Florida, when tragedy struck. Last Thursday, February 12th, around 4:30 in the afternoon, Rita and Derron were bicycling along a trail in Palatka, Florida. As they crossed a road after some of the traffic had stopped, a car failed to yield and struck Rita. She was rushed to Orange Park Medical Center, where she is now in a coma and in critical condition. This sudden change in their lives has been very difficult, and Derron is by her side, praying and waiting for any sign of improvement. We are all trusting in God's divine healing intervention and holding onto hope for Rita's recovery.

The days ahead are uncertain and filled with challenges. Rita's medical bills are mounting, and Derron is 600 miles from home, facing living expenses and travel costs while he remains at the hospital. As Rita begins what will likely be a long journey toward healing and rehabilitation, the financial burden on their family continues to grow. Your support will help cover medical expenses, travel for family members, rehabilitation, and any other needs that arise during this difficult time.
