On Tuesday, April 21st at 5:19 am, my fiancé and I welcomed our fourth and final baby into the world. She was a perfect 9 lbs 3 oz and 22 inches long. We were ecstatic, and she seemed to be perfectly healthy. All of that changed about 10 hours later during a visit from her 3 older siblings and grandmother when she turned purple and stopped breathing. At that time, the doctors believed she was just too cold and had used too much energy trying to keep warm. They put her under the heat lamp, and she started to look better. We were a little confused, but it seemed like she was going to be fine. Once they bundled her back up, I tried to feed her, but she just wasn't interested and seemed lethargic. I didn't think too hard about it, but something felt off. I laid her in her crib and watched her sleep. One second she was fine, then the next she was purple again, and I called for the nurses. It was then that they made the call to transfer her to a higher-level hospital and spent the next 5 hours before her transfer trying to stabilize her. We sat in our delivery room filled with fear with no news other than that they were trying to keep her stabilized. The transfer team finally arrived and took her to the new hospital where we learned that she was having seizures due to a possible stroke with a brain bleed. She has been in the NICU since Tuesday night at 11 pm where they have her on an EEG and 3 different seizure medications. We have been practically living at the hospital since then as well and are soon going to have to go back to our day-to-day life of work and taking care of our other 3 kids while juggling being with her.

We are asking for any donations you find it in your heart to send. The donations will be going towards transportation and any missed work while we navigate this trying time.
