My name is Joey, but most people call me Gryz. I’m making this GoFundMe for one of my best friends, Rick Gutierrez. Rick was only 35 years old and leaves behind his wife Kalli, his 12-year-old son Maddox, and his 3-month-old daughter Indi. It breaks my heart to put this together for him, but I know how much his family needs our support right now.
My circle is small and tight, and Rick was one of the most selfless men I’ve ever known. He was his family’s rock, the sole provider, and he balanced work, family, and club like no one I’ve ever seen. Over more than a decade of friendship, I watched him grow and always strive to better himself. Rick was tragically killed doing one of the things we love most—riding his Harley up the 93 just outside Wikiup, AZ. The road was uneven due to repaving, and he lost control when his tires got caught on the high edge of the surface. We’re all still in shock from the sudden loss of our beloved brother, husband, son, and father.
The funds raised here will go directly to his family and children to help with living expenses as they face this unimaginable loss. Rick was the sole provider for his family, and I can’t imagine having to figure all this out while grieving for a spouse.
