It is with profound sorrow that we share the news of Richard Crawford’s unexpected passing. On behalf of the Crawford family, we ask for your support in easing a portion of their financial burden. Any contribution, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference.
In his hometown of Ware, Rick Crawford was somewhat of a local legend. As a running back for the Ware Indians, he led the division in yards and touchdowns. When he wasn’t on the field or hanging out at “the ranch”, you could find him at Nautilus mentoring high school kids, while benching an impressive 400 lbs.
In his mid-twenties, Rick moved to Feeding Hills. It is there that he met his wife, Christine. Rick spent the next 20+ years as a local arborist. He would always give you a smile and a wave, as he drove by on his scooter. Rick loved to spend his time free time at the campground and beach with his wife and family.
One of Rick’s proudest moments was in 2012, when he helped secure the NEFL Championship as a defensive end for the Western Mass Warriors semi-pro football team. But, Rick’s greatest honor of all was being a devoted husband, and a father. Rick had a heart as big as his personality, and helped who he could, whenever he could. He will be missed, immeasurably.
We are so grateful for the love, prayers, and compassion pouring in. If you find it within your heart and means to contribute financially, it is deeply appreciated. If you are not able to do so, a “share” is just as meaningful. Your support brings comfort to his family, as they prepare him for his final journey.
…and in Rick’s words:
“HAVE THE DAY OF YOUR CHOICE”
