Help Donnis & Rhona Rebuild Their "Family" Home

On March 23, 2026, our family experienced a devastating loss when a fire broke out in the carport of my sister Rhona Carreras’ home and quickly spread throughout the house. In a matter of moments, Rhona, her husband Bill, and their daughter Angela lost not only their home, but also their vehicles, belongings, cherished memories, and the place where they built their life together. Sadly, this is our "Family" home as our Grandparents, Parents and Brothers are all gone.

We are incredibly grateful that Rhona, Bill, and Angela made it out safely.

Heartbreakingly, their beloved kitty did not survive — a deeply painful loss on top of an already unimaginable tragedy.

As we begin to understand the full extent of the damage, it’s clear they are facing a long and difficult road ahead. Rebuilding their home is expected to take 9 months to a year. During this time, they will need support for temporary housing, daily essentials, and the many unexpected expenses that come with starting over.

The days following a fire are filled with uncertainty, urgent needs, and emotional strain. This GoFundMe has been organized by me, Donnis Hiskett, Rhona’s sister, to help support them through this incredibly challenging time.
