Rhianna has given me permission to share a few important updates with you. She will be starting chemotherapy in late August. As she prepares for the months ahead, she’s hoping to create some meaningful memories with her children before treatment begins.

Funds raised will help cover critical living expenses during this time and make it possible for her to take a short vacation with her kids—something she’s really looking forward to before this next chapter begins.

I'm writing on behalf of my dear friend, Rhianna Basye, and her family, who are facing an incredibly challenging time and could truly use our support.

Earlier this year, Rhianna's 9-year-old son, Eli, underwent a major surgery called TPAIT (Total Pancreatectomy with Islet Cell Auto-Transplant) to treat a serious pancreatic condition. This intense procedure required them to spend over a month in Cincinnati, far from home, with Rhianna putting her life on hold to care for Eli through his recovery.

Just as they were beginning to find their footing again, another unimaginable blow struck – Rhianna was diagnosed with cholangiocarcinoma, a rare and aggressive cancer of the bile ducts. On May 23rd, she will undergo a complex surgery to remove an 11 cm tumor along with half of her liver. Her medical team will determine the next steps following the surgery, which may include chemotherapy or immunotherapy, as this type of cancer has a high rate of recurrence.

Rhianna is a devoted mother to Eli, Everleigh, and Travis, and her strength in facing these back-to-back trials has been nothing short of inspiring. Funds raised through this campaign will help cover travel for medical care, treatment costs, and essential living expenses, allowing Rhianna to focus on healing and being with her children.
