On September 30, 2024 my 15 year old daughter Audrey Cameron (aka Dreya) was struck by a car on her way to school.
The almost fatal accident left her in critical condition on life support for a week. She suffered from multiple broken bones in pelvis and legs, punctured lung, displaced organs and a severe tramatic brain injury. She remained in the hospital for two months.
These many months later she is still recovering. I am doing all I can to support her healing journey. This takes much of my time and energy and I am not able to work sufficiently to support myself and my family.
While the medical system is so helpful and supportive, Audrey would greatly benefit from additional alternative healing modalities and a school for cognitive rehabilitation. These are costly and not covered by insurance.
At this point financial assistance is needed and your donations to helping with day to day living expenses during Audrey's recovery are so welcome and appreciated. Adding alternative therapies would also benefit and help enhance and speed up the healing process.
It would be incredible if sufficent funds can also be raised to bring her to the school for cognitive rehabilitation (see Arrowsmith school in Toronto; school.arrowsmith.ca). A one year tuition and travel expenses for this would be around $75,000.
Please reach out to me with any questions or concerns. I am so deeply grateful for your help and support.
