Education is a fundamental right for every child. Yet, for thousands of refugee children and those in host communities, this right remains out of reach due to lack of resources.
In the schools where these children seek refuge, even the simplest supplies are missing — including school chalks, which are essential for daily teaching. Without chalk, there are no lessons, no words on the board, no knowledge shared.
Why chalks?
Because each piece of chalk is more than just a tool: it is a bridge to knowledge, a spark of hope, and a way for teachers to continue teaching despite difficult conditions.
✨ In Uganda, BRIGHT YEACE FOUNDATION is the only refugee-led organization that produces and donates school chalks to both refugee and host community schools. This unique project not only supports education but also creates local and sustainable solutions.
