January 26, 2024, I was diagnosed with Triple Negative Breast Cancer(TNBC). By the time that I was diagnosed, it had spread to the lymph nodes under my left arm and on the left side of my neck. After seeing my breast care surgeon, seeing my oncologist, have my port put in, as well as having several more tests done, I started aggressive chemo treatment on February 26, 2024. It was absolute hell if I'm being honest. Chemo put my body through some things that I never thought I would have to endure.
On my good days, I fought. On my bad days, I fought harder. I had a few hospital stays, two blood transfusions, and a number of other issues. No matter what happened, I kept my faith going. I knew that God was going to get me through it. On July 22, 2024, I got to Ring the Bell, because I finished chemo! I was so happy!! Then on August 30, 2024, I had a bilateral mastectomy. My breast care surgeon informed my family that the cancer was gone, and I couldn't have been more happy. All the treatment and fighting that I did paid off!! A few weeks after surgery, I did sixteen rounds of radiation from October 15-November 5, 2024.
I am still currently receiving Keytruda, an immunotherapy medication, and I'll be finished with that on February 3, 2025. I am also in the process of preparing for my final stage of this journey, which is getting reconstructive surgery. That will be taking place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025.
I am asking for help with preparing for surgery, because I will be off of work for possibly six to eight weeks, depending on how I recover. I am needing help with bills, groceries, medications, & any unexpected expenses. Anything will be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance....
