*** UPDATE***

Yesterday made exactly 30 days since everything happened. The trauma the fear and anxiety are all still very much present daily for all of us. Moose man is still with our friend. The hunt for a rental home is still active, funny how we all said “thank his we never have to rent again” yet here we are again. The process is moving slow but we do see things happening. Today more demolishion took place and removal of carpets, demo stuff ect were taken out. I will keep you all posted as we travel this new road to start 2026.

hi Megan here, on the morning of December 5, 2025 at 1am we were woken to fire alarms and our newly purchased dream/forever home going up in flames. As I dumped bucket upon bucket of water on the base boards and into the fire place praying it was all really not happening. Terry race down stairs to encounter the kiddos LED lights melting off the ceiling, he quickly woke Emmarie and they both continued to water the fire before we all got the dogs and escaped to safety while calling 911.

thankfully Magna fire was just down the road and could arrive within minutes ultimately containing the damage to one side of the house.

Unfortnately our home was left unhinabitable for the next 6 months (minimum). We are asking for help in raising funds to help with all of our out of pocket daily exspenses that no one ever plans to have to use.

we are so very thankful for all the shares, hopes, prayers and help we have received along the way.

we can’t wait to one day be back home and have our Moose man back with us. Thank you to everyone for taking the time to read our story.
