Rebekah’s family are seeking your support to help put her to rest.

Lillian Rebekah Beard Smith was a caring and generous person who gave her time to help others. She dedicated many years to her work in the medical field and to her family. She passed on January 14 at the age of 78.

For the past year, Rebekah struggled through illness and constant hospitalizations. She was taken care of by her daughter Angela and her grandchild, Katheryne, who set aside her schooling and took a job to help the family afford what they needed to get by.

Despite being in pain, Rebekah managed to continue on until January 14, when she passed very suddenly. We are comforted by the fact that she is no longer suffering and is now at peace.

I have set up this Gofundme on behalf of my dear friend, Katheryne. Katheryne is doing what she can to support her mother financially and emotionally as well as to respect the wishes of her grandmother. We wish to ensure that Katheryne can fulfill Rebekah’s final requests and bury her in accordance with her faith and beliefs while still being able to support herself and her mother in their time of grief.
