My name is Brittany, and I am reaching out on behalf of my mom, Rebecca. She is 58 years old and has always been a source of strength and love for our family. Recently, our world was turned upside down when she was diagnosed with poorly differentiated carcinoma, a form of aggressive cancer that has spread to her bones. The doctors have given her 6 months to a year to live, and every day is a new challenge as she faces pain from her bones breaking down and tumors forming throughout her body, including her ribs, which makes it difficult for her to breathe. She has started chemotherapy to fight the cancer and manage her symptoms.

Rebecca has always been independent and humble, never wanting to ask for help. But as her illness progresses, she needs support more than ever. She is currently on short-term disability, which only covers part of her pay, and we are beginning to look into care options for her as things move forward. We want her to focus on comfort and making the most of the time she has left, without the added stress of financial worries. Many of her coworkers and friends have expressed a desire to help, and this fundraiser is a way to give them that opportunity.
