While out for a run on Tuesday, March 31, Rebeca was struck by a car, resulting in serious injuries. She has been in the hospital ever since and is facing a long and difficult recovery. Rebeca is an avid runner, a dedicated math teacher, and—most importantly—a loving mom to three young children who depend on her every day. Alongside her husband, Jayson, she has built a busy, joy-filled life rooted in family, faith, and community.

Due to the accident, Rebeca has suffered serious injuries, including damage to her brain, pelvis, ankle, and elbow. Her recovery will be long and challenging, requiring extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and significant time away from work and family. This sudden, life-altering accident has placed an enormous emotional and financial strain on their family. As Rebeca focuses on healing, she will be unable to work for an extended period.
