Today, our family’s world was turned upside down.

My cousin Raul, an Odessa native and Ector County Deputy, experienced a devastating house fire that caused severe structural damage, along with overwhelming smoke and water damage throughout his home.

By the grace of God, no one was injured, and for that we are deeply thankful. However, the home is now completely unlivable. Smoke damage has impacted nearly every room, and the water used to extinguish the fire caused extensive destruction—leaving Raul and his family displaced and facing an uncertain road ahead.

This home wasn’t just a structure. It was where memories were made, where daily life happened, and where Raul and his family felt safe. In a matter of hours, so much was taken away.

We are starting this GoFundMe to help Raul and his family with:

Critical home repairs and restoration

Temporary housing while the home is being rebuilt

Immediate living expenses during this difficult transition
