Support for Rasheed’s eyesight back

Rasheed (14yrs) has had a severe eye injury from an incident at school on December 16th 2021.

He has had two surgeries since then involving the removal of his cataract and his lens.

After several doctor check-ups, we’ve been told that it is very unlikely for his vision to return, even with an artificial lens implant. 

We have been trying to get the best treatment for him for a full and safe recovery, but it has also been quite hard for us. 

It has only been 3 months since his Freshman year started. He made new friends, an A student who studies hard and enjoys the weight lifting club.

His dream is to be a “Marine biologist”!

Rasheed（14歳）は、2021年12月16日に学校で起きた事件により、目に大きな傷を負ってしまいました。

それ以来、白内障と水晶体の除去を含む、2回の手術を受けています。

その後何度か医師の診察を受けた結果、人工レンズを埋め込んでも視力が戻る可能性は非常に低いと言われています。 

今現在も尚、最善の治療を受けさせようと努力しています。

高校1年生になり、まだ3ヶ月しか経っていません。 新しい友達もでき、勉強熱心でウエイトリフティングのクラブも楽しんでいるごく普通の生徒です。

彼の将来の夢は「海洋生物学者」になる事です。
