We are heartbroken to share the tragic loss of my baby brother, Rashawn Mackey, whose life was taken too soon due to a senseless act of violence at a BP gas station on Metropolitan Parkway in Atlanta.

Rashawn was more than just a brother—he was a son, a friend, and a light in our family. He had a smile that could lift anyone’s spirit and a presence that brought people together. He didn’t deserve the way his life was taken, and our family is struggling to cope with this sudden and painful loss.

As we prepare to lay Rashawn to rest, we are asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Funeral and burial expenses have placed an unexpected financial burden on our family, and we want to give him the proper homegoing he deserves—one filled with love, respect, and dignity.
