My long-term partner Ramon was recently diagnosed with stage 4 laryngeal cancer and underwent major surgery. He has always been the hardest worker, doing everything he can to keep our family afloat. Just over a week ago, he was forced to stop working due to his health, and our already precarious situation has become dire. We have been living in a motel for over a year with our 8-year-old twins, and now, with Ramon unable to work, we are struggling to cover even the most basic expenses.
Our family is facing mounting household costs, car insurance, room rent, food, and medical expenses that aren’t covered by insurance. The hospital will not discharge Ramon to a motel, which means we urgently need to find a more stable place to live while still paying for our current room. Ramon is in good spirits, but he is deeply worried about our family’s well-being and how we will make ends meet during this incredibly difficult time.
Ramon has a long road ahead of him, but his doctors expect he will make a full recovery. Having him worry about his family's well-being is additional stress he does not need while he’s trying to recover. Any support would mean so much to us. Your help will go directly toward keeping a roof over our heads, feeding our children, and covering the costs that have piled up since Ramon’s diagnosis. Thank you for considering a donation to help our family get through this crisis.
