Dear friends, family, and extended community,
On September 24, 2026, our beloved friend and brother, Rahim "Knuckles" Muhammad, made his transition peacefully at home, after a sixteen-month journey with brain cancer. He leaves behind a legacy that will keep echoing for a long time.
As so many of you know, Rahim was a force—physically, mentally, and spiritually. As an artist, he put his whole self into every verse. He had a voice that filled a room, words that meant something, and a presence on stage that you didn't forget. He met his diagnosis the same way he met a mic: with strength, humor, heart, and not one ounce of backing down.
His spirit was shaped by the family that raised him, and it showed in how he loved. Through it all, he spent every moment he could with the people who mattered most: his son Kaimani, his family, and a circle of friends so large it's hard to measure. Anyone who knew Rahim knows he never met a stranger for long.
When we started this fundraiser in May 2025, we asked you to show up for Rahim, and you did, again and again. Your generosity helped him pursue every treatment option, gave his family stability, and allowed him to spend his time where it mattered most.
How You Can Help Now
Rahim's family now faces the costs of saying goodbye and the long road ahead without him. This fundraiser will help cover Rahim's funeral and memorial costs, and it will provide ongoing support for his son and Rahim's family as they find their way forward.
We have also started a 529 education savings plan for Kaimani, to support his education throughout his life. If you'd like to help in a way that will carry forward for years to come, you can contribute at gift.my529.org using gift code 9Z6JGP.
Whether you can give $5 or $500, every donation makes a difference. If you're not in a position to give financially, share this page, send a memory of Rahim, or play his music loud. We'll make sure Kaimani knows how many people loved his dad, and that his dad's voice is still out here.
Stay Updated
Rahim's family is planning a memorial that honors him the way he deserves and brings together all the people who made his life so full. We'll share the details here as soon as they come together.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for being part of Rahim's village. Let's keep showing up for his family the way he always showed up for so many of us.
With love and gratitude,
Cayman & Jorge
