Hello, my name is Andrew and I'm fundraising for my 64 year old father Rafael. On 12/17 my dad had to have emergency surgery to remove an enlarged tumor that was found out during a routine MRI exam. My dad had been losing vision significantly in both eyes and the eye doctor determined that this issue needed to be investigated further with testing. After finding the tumor the doctor requested that he needed to get it out immediately or he might be blind for the rest of his life.
Thankfully, they were able to get out the tumor out completely but my dad still hasn't regain his vision and is experiencing a lot of difficulty in the recovering process. Since this was a massive brain surgery it will take a full year until they can provide us with a complete picture of his recovery. At this time, it has been my full responsibility in assisting him with his recovery, medical expenses, and regular expenses plus my mom's funeral/cemetery expenses. After losing my mother last summer and having to deal with this massive surgery for my father I am to the point of near exhaustion and extreme stress.
I know that I'm not the only one going through tough times this year but I would really appreciate any and I mean ANY support or donations that you could provide for our family this year. We're extremely grateful for last year's donations for my mother's fundraiser and I can't tell you how thankful we'll be again if you're able to donate for my dad's medical expenses while he recovers this year.
