My mom was diagnosed with Small Cell Cancer in December 2025. This is a very aggressive form of cancer, and she had been very sick for a while. It started as lung cancer and then progressed to her kidneys, the back of her neck, and eventually her brain. There is no cure for this type of cancer, and she was not strong enough to undergo chemo or radiation. On a recent Saturday, she went to the hospital after a fall, and that’s when we learned the cancer had spread to her brain. The masses on her kidneys were causing them to fail, and the doctors told us she had only four weeks left to live. She decided to spend her remaining time in hospice at home with her mom. As of April 4, 2026, she passed away peacefully with her family by her side. I know she is no longer in pain or suffering.
My mom was the most amazing human being. She loved her grand babies more than anything in the world, and they meant everything to her. She enjoyed going to yard sales and always found the best deals. She loved the outdoors and had a special fondness for butterflies, angels, and Tweety Bird. Her spirit and kindness touched everyone she met, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
I am raising funds to help cover funeral expenses, medical bills, and to support our family during this difficult time. Any support, whether big or small, will help us honor her memory and ease the financial burden. Thank you for your kindness and for keeping our family in your thoughts.
