Support for Rachel, Fabian, and Baby Abigail

Hi everyone,

I am writing this message on behalf of my daughter Rachel, her husband Fabian, and their family as they walk through a very difficult and unexpected season.

Rachel is a brave and loving mother who has brought five precious children into this world. Her last four pregnancies have all been high-risk, with their babies arriving early at 35 weeks, 34 weeks, 29 weeks, and now their newest baby, Abigail, born even earlier than expected.

Because Rachel’s previous pregnancies came earlier and earlier, she and her doctor were already concerned about this pregnancy and had discussed the importance of being near a hospital with a Level IV NICU. Around that same time, Fabian received a job opportunity in San Antonio. For their family, the decision had to be made quickly: a new job, warmer weather, and most importantly, access to a higher-level NICU if the baby needed specialized care.

Within two weeks, their family moved from Missouri to Texas. Soon after arriving, Rachel was hospitalized due to preterm labor and placed on strict bed rest, which meant she was no longer able to return to work. After several hospital stays and difficult back-and-forth moments, Rachel’s water broke at 31 weeks. She was taken to the hospital by ambulance and then rushed into a complicated C-section.

Rachel’s surgery was extensive, and her recovery has been slower and harder than expected. Their baby Abigail is currently in the NICU, where she is growing, receiving care, and being loved closely by her parents. Rachel and Fabian are spending most of their time at the hospital, staying near Abigail, praying for her strength, and waiting for the day she can come home and meet the rest of her family.

Because of all these circumstances, Rachel has been unable to work for several weeks. Fabian has also had to take time away from work to care for Rachel during her recovery, help their family through this transition, and be present at the hospital for Abigail. As you can imagine, this has created a significant financial strain during an already emotional and exhausting time.

I am humbly asking, on their behalf, for any support you may be able to offer. Any contribution would help them cover basic living expenses, medical-related costs, transportation to and from the hospital, and the practical needs that come during a crisis like this.

If you are not able to give, sharing this message and keeping Rachel, Fabian, Abigail, and their family in your prayers would mean so much to us.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your kindness, generosity, prayers, and support during this difficult season.
