Rachel has been my best friend since 9th grade, and we have been lucky enough to work together most of our adult lives. Her strength over the past 4½ years has inspired everyone who knows her. She has faced cancer with courage and hope, enduring countless treatments and hospital stays. In February 2026, she became the first patient in a new trial at MD Anderson, and we all held onto hope that this would bring good news. After seven weeks in the hospital, we learned the results were not what we had hoped for. Her husband Nick brought her home yesterday, and he will be taking care of her in hospice. He has been such a wonderful caregiver to her from the very beginning of this hard journey.

Rachel has touched so many hearts with her kindness, friendship, and unwavering spirit. As people have reached out to me, it’s clear that we all share similar stories—she has made a lasting impact on everyone she meets.

Please keep Rachel, Nick, Riley, along with Dr. and Mrs. Haddock in your thoughts and prayers during this incredibly difficult time, Funds raised will go directly to Rachel’s family to help ease their burdens and allow them to focus on being together.
