Someone near and dear to my heart is facing an unimaginable loss that no mother ever imagines they’d have to face. Rachel is mourning the loss of her 17-year-old son, Uriah, after he was tragically taken from her on June 10th, 2026. Uriah was a kind soul that had big dreams. He was looking forward to playing to football and had a goal to go to college and continue his football career. His life was ended far too soon, as were his dreams. The pain of losing a child is something no parent should ever have to endure, and it has left his mother and family heartbroken and struggling to find a way forward. In addition to the emotional toll, she is facing financial hardship because her son did not have a life insurance policy. We don’t typically anticipate the need of having life insurance for our children. Rachel has not been able to return to work and may not be able to do so for a while. The mental and emotional load that this places on a mother makes it hard to function in everyday life. All of these factors have made it nearly impossible for her to cover the cost of the funeral expenses and will cause strain trying to keep up with her household bills as well as providing for her other children.
