Support for Quentin Lee Powers' Family

Hello, my name is Betsy, and I am starting this GoFundMe on behalf of an employee of Bright Star Early Learning, LLC, to help raise funds for her father’s funeral expenses.

Quentin Lee Powers, a dedicated roofer from Essex, was a hardworking man who cared deeply for his family. He found joy in the simple things—playing video games, spending time with loved ones, and sharing his sense of humor to brighten the lives of those around him.

Tragically, Quentin lost his battle with schizophrenia, a relentless mental illness that he fought bravely for many years. Though he gave it his all, the illness took him from us far too soon. His passing is a heartbreaking reminder of the importance of mental health awareness and support. We have not set a date for the funeral as of yet and will update accordingly.

The funds raised will go toward covering funeral costs, and any remaining donations will be contributed to schizophrenia research at the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation (bbrfoundation.org).
