Folks, I am posting this on behalf of a good friend who has fallen on some difficult times. She is such a hard worker and a great presence in our community- it would be great if we could help out during this extra difficult time. This is her story:

As of June 6th, I was given until the end of the month to come up with $5400 to avoid eviction. Earlier this year I suffered from a medical emergency and have had other extenuating circumstances that caused me to fall behind on rent and other bills. I am a queer single mother with no family support. I also provide care for my mother with dementia and missing almost a month of work was devastating.

To pay and stay I am being required to pay both back rent, late fees, court costs, attorney fees, and forward a month to the total of $7616. I am short $4000 and am trying to raise the funds to keep myself and my daughter in our home. I am working full time and will be able to stay current once l am caught up. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for all of your support.
